Established on 2019, we are Experts in Rehabilitation.

Established in 2019, KJ Therapy initially focused on home rehabilitation, providing home-based services for stroke, hemiplegia, paraplegia, and children with cerebral palsy. During Covid 19, we strived to offer home rehabilitation services, alleviating the pain and burden for patients and their families. To expand comprehensive rehabilitation services, in 2023, we partnered with RoboCT Technology to establish our first rehabilitation center in the central region of Singapore. We aim to provide more specialized services for patients with special needs, giving them the courage and hope to reintegrate into society.

At our center, we’re leading the way in rehabilitation, incorporating state-of-the-art technology to enhance our practice. Our latest innovation involves integrating exoskeleton and standing robot technology into our rehabilitation programs, making us pioneers in this field. All our Physiotherapists are registered with the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), ensuring that our treatments are of the highest standard. With this innovative approach, we utilize advanced robotics to facilitate optimal recovery and mobility. Our commitment to client-centric care is at the core of everything we do, as we strive to improve your well-being and quality of life through groundbreaking methods.

Principal Physiotherapist,

- Rina Choo Xue Li

Hello, I’m Rina, the Principal Physiotherapist at Kang Jia (KJ) Robotic Therapy Centre. With eight years of experience in community rehabilitation, I bring a broad range of knowledge and expertise to our team. My passion lies in integrating robotics with evidence-based physiotherapy techniques to support clients with spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders.

My journey into healthcare began at the age of 19, right after graduating from polytechnic. A friend suggested I explore the field, as I had always felt a deep desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I worked as a therapist assistant for nine months before being accepted into the physiotherapy program at Nanyang Polytechnic in 2013. Despite facing several setbacks along the way, I proudly graduated and pursued an honours degree in Physiotherapy at SIT, never looking back since.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including inpatient care at community hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation, and home therapy. These experiences have allowed me to assist patients at every stage of their recovery. When Hai Bin invited me to join KJ Therapy, I was deeply inspired by her commitment to providing cutting-edge technology for clients with complex care needs.

I vividly remember my early days as a junior therapist, when we often faced challenges with the limited equipment available, especially when working with patients with high-level spinal cord injuries or complex stroke conditions. At that point of time, robotics technology was still in its infancy, and the standard practice was to transfer patients to specialized rehabilitation centres for continued care. As much as I wanted to help, the resources and support available at the time were limited.

Now, at KJ Therapy, the advanced robotic devices we use are not only more efficient but also much more user-friendly, making them easier to manage and implement in patient care. I truly believe these innovations will significantly enhance the rehabilitation process for patients with spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions, and I’m excited to be part of this transformative journey.
